Henry Fan - Managing Director
Henry Fan is the Co-founder and managing director of Crossvine Capital, a debt and private equity fund and a new Private Equity funding platform for real estate development. The business focuses on bridge financing and equity financing, and has successfully invested and jointly developed high-end luxury residential homes, multi-unit development projects, hotels and wineries in California. Henry and his developer team managed the development project from permit to construction and selling the final property. Up to today, with over 30 deals, it has zero failure rate with exits between 20% to 60% annualized return. Through an ecosystem of elite real estate and private financing partners, Henry has led the business to source high-quality investment projects and best matching sources of capital for each deal. By balancing debt and equity profile and optimizing financing at different stages of projects, it helps investors to lower risk exposure and achieve higher return. Crossvine has developed strong partner network in China, HK and Taiwan. Nearly 50% of the investment capital is from these regions.
In addition, Henry is a venture partner of Struck Capital, a new venture fund focusing on early-stage tech startups. And in the last 12 months, Henry has completed 15 SPV’s, co-managing with other local venture capital firms, with investment in companies in Internet, Mobile, VR/AR, AI, FinTech, Cloud and Clean Tech areas.
Henry has over 18 years of experiences in high-tech industries at various capacities including product management, strategic marketing and business development. He started his career at Exodus communications, one of the fastest growing Internet companies in Silicon Valley in 1998. During his hi-tech career, Henry's roles included senior director and VP of product management, marketing and business development in several Fortune 500 technology companies including Cisco, Trend Micro, Netgear and SanDisk Corp. He has led the sales, marketing, strategic customer engagement and OEM/ODM, and has managed business line of over $500M annual revenue as well completed 4 acquisition deals. Also, Henry was one of the initial marketing executives at a start-up and drove its acquisition by Alcatel.
Henry has successfully built marketing, distribution and sales channels in US, Europe and Asia markets, and has managed customer accounts including Lenovo, Huawei, Alibaba, Tencent. And he has an extensive network with the business and investment communities in China.
With his passion in hi-tech, finance, real estate and with his connection and access to China, Henry has been focusing on building a private equity fund and hi-tech venture investment in recent years. Henry is an avid investor in real estate and he personally has invested in real estate since 2003. He is also an advisor of several Chinese accelerators in China on investment and an advisor at Huawei on Corporate Strategy.
Born in Shanghai China, Henry graduated magna cum laude in computer engineering from University of British Columbia and an MBA from Duke University Fuqua School of Business.
Bing Wei - Chief Strategy Officer
Bing is responsible for implementing our cross border strategy of expanding into different regions and cities of the Chinese market, strengthening relationships with local government agencies and enterprise and NGO partners, and assisting local cities to develop Silicon Valley-type economic zones. Bing also manage some strategic partnerships in both the Bay Area and China associated with the Company's global initiatives work and serves as the point of communication among Bay Area partners and sister organizations in China.
Bing was born in Shanghai, educated in England and has worked in London, Hong Kong and the San Francisco Bay Area in media production and marketing. Her career spans from news producer for Reuters Television, news marketing for Dow Jones in Hong Kong, corporate marketing for China programs at Cisco System in San Jose. She is also the founder and CEO of The Word International Inc (www.thewordinc.com) which is focused on cross-cultural PR and marketing. She is a founding member of Advocates for Chinese Education (ACE), which promotes cultural diversity and bilingualism in the Bay Area education system and policy sector. Bing holds a BA in English Literature and Media from the University of Sussex of UK, a Master (Professional Diploma) in Marketing from the London Institute of Marketing, and a creative writing diploma from UC Berkeley and London Institute of Linguists. Bing is a published author both in Chinese and English in poetry, short stories and a novella. She is strong believer and practitioner in Innovation, Integration and Inter-disciplinary.
